Hana's life changed when the Nazi's invaded Czechoslovakia. In 1941 both of her parents were arrested and sent to concentration camps where they were killed. Hana and her brother were sent to live with their uncle. They stayed with their uncle until April, 1942 when they were taken to Terezin together. Hana and George were both shipped to Auschwitz, but sadly Hana was killed as soon as she arrived on October 23rd, 1944
